How to Test Bright Data Before Committing
Run a bounded pilot with representative targets rather than a generic IP-check page.
- Define a valid result, including market, page type, required fields, freshness, and rejection conditions.
- Test easy, typical, and protected pages with the lowest-cost eligible product.
- Set both account and application-side limits because the vendor limit can lag.
- Record billable bytes or outputs, retries, compute cost, and location accuracy from the dashboard and your own logs.
- Repeat at production-like concurrency, then calculate cost per valid result after excluding challenges, wrong markets, duplicates, and incomplete records.
- Before upgrading, confirm the promotion duration, allowance, overage rate, cancellation timing, refund terms, and target permissions.
