What Is AdsPower Browser: A Marketer’s Review

A drawing of a person in a hoodie working at a laptop next to the title

Managing multiple accounts across platforms like Meta’s Facebook and Instagram, Google Ads, and TikTok can be a nightmare, especially for agencies. Digital marketers have to maneuver strict detection rules and potential bans all the time, and that’s where AdsPower comes in.

AdsPower is a powerful anti-detect browser designed specifically for multi-account management. In this marketer’s review, we’ll be putting ourselves in the shoes of a non-technical marketer and explore what AdsPower is, its key features, and why it’s a game changer for marketers around the world.

Tools like AdsPower come in handy in many cases. One case is when working out of or targeting locations where geo-restrictions and platform regulations add yet another layer of complexity to an already tricky landscape. For example, if you’re an offshore marketing Business Process Outsource (BPO) working with US companies, this is a good read for you. Why? Because there’s a good chance you too might actually need to use anti-detect, multi-account browsers.

Say you’re a marketer or digital agency based somewhere in the Philippines and you’ve landed a big client in New York. You’re about to take over all of their digital marketing operations, but you’re also running campaigns for a politician in Texas. If you’re using the same browser, or the same devices, to manage both accounts on the same network, without any effective privacy measures or anti-detect browsers, you should stop. To the platforms you’re using, they will both appear as one — one location, one person, one device. Everything can be traced back to a single source, and all of the activities on all of the accounts you manage will have the same digital fingerprint.

If one account gets flagged for suspicious activity on a platform, it will trace back to you and your main account, your IP address. If your IP address gets blocked or flagged, all of the accounts managed out of that specific IP address will also be affected. The same goes for accounts that are managed by the same browser, sharing the same device MAC address, or any unique identifier for that matter.

When online activity from one account affects the status of another account, since they’re both sharing the same digital fingerprint, this is called cross-contamination. In other words, it is when an account carries the traces of another account and its activities, it also bears the consequences of these activities, whatever they may be.

Enter AdsPower, a powerful tool that prevents cross-contamination altogether by enabling you to manage multiple accounts in isolated browser sessions. Moreover, it does so while allowing you to control how social media and marketing websites and platforms see you, literally. The anti-detect browser provides you with the tools to completely protect your privacy and modify or spoof your browser fingerprints. This lets you insulate accounts from one another, leaving no gaps unplugged in your digital marketing operation.

On the business side, it also helps you optimize and scale your digital marketing operations, and lowers the risks that come with taking on more marketing clients. It also lets you manage your clients’ accounts from anywhere in the world, where management of an account can change hands without any risk. To make things more interesting, AdsPower comes with a great set of automation, integration, and other tools that can really make your life easier, when used properly.

So, whether you’re considering using AdsPower for the first time or comparing it to alternatives, this article will help you make an informed decision. We will discuss why you need AdsPower and what you can do with it, along with all of the essential avenues of this powerful anti-detect browser, from pros and cons, to critical how-tos, and more.

First, let’s explore the mechanism behind the marvel that is an anti-detect, multi-account browser, just so we know how AdsPower works.

A drawing of a person typing at a laptop with many profiles behind them under the title

AdsPower Browser Explained

AdsPower is a specialized anti-detect browser, designed to enable multi-accounting for marketers so that they can manage their accounts on marketing platforms effectively.

In a nutshell, AdsPower allows you to create isolated profiles with unique digital fingerprints. You set up each of these profiles with the accounts you want to use on them on behalf of yourself or your clients. By allowing users to do so, multi-account browsers ensure that platforms do not link all account activities from different profiles to one device or user, which in this case is you.

Furthermore, you can integrate proxies to complete the anti-detect cycle, making it possible to manage your clients’ accounts appearing in the city they’re based in.

When visiting a website, your device sends information to the website’s server. The system on that server compiles this data into what is known as a digital fingerprint. It does that in an effort to identify you via your device, system, and location. Accordingly, the server’s system decides whether to block or allow you to access the website, or parts of it, and here’s where browsers like AdsPower come into play.

Remember the whole isolated browser profile thing we discussed? Well, multi-account browsers (or anti-detect browsers) enable you to have each browser appear as a distinct user. It gives you control, by allowing you to choose how websites see you, while using the accounts within a browser profile. This helps you  avoid bans from platforms that prohibit multiple accounts from the same source, for example.

When you set up a profile on AdsPower, you can choose what kind of operating system and device you want the browser profile to appear as using, among other things. In fact, there’s a lot that you can do on anti-detect browsers to spoof your digital fingerprint. Yet, one can only go so far as to mask their device with anti-detect browsers, and nothing more, especially without additional privacy measures. The anonymity cycle is not complete.

Anti-detect browsers like AdsPower, on their own, can cloak almost everything about your device except your IP address. Proxies do the rest of the work. We won’t bog down this article with a deep-dive, but the difference between VPNs and proxies makes proxies much more relevant when managing multiple accounts.

Even when running ads for my clients, I gained a lot from using an anti-detect browser. In the early days of my marketing career, I’d rely on VPNs to check and validate ads, stop them when they’re not running right, optimize them, and relaunch them to get better results. Once you’re juggling multiple accounts, using proxy servers is more sustainable and relevant — you can automate the practice.

If the US ever decides to follow through on banning TikTok again, or any other popular marketing or social media platform, marketers may have no other choice but to use solutions like AdsPower.

Using AdsPower Browser in Digital Marketing

Depending on the sensitivity and complexity of the accounts you’re handling, you can set up the profiles and accounts that you need on AdsPower as you see fit. Their support team recommends a one-account-per-profile approach but I have found that one client per profile works well — it depends on the client.

The extent to which you might want to go a step further and insulate each account depends on a variety of factors. For marketers, most clients publish and run ads on a variety of platforms at the same time, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok,  etc. That said, it is not unusual for one entity to manage its accounts from one location, i.e. one IP address, or even one device.

If you’re running communications for your clients on multiple channels, I’d recommend that you set up a profile for each of your clients, containing all of their socials under one profile. So, instead of one account per profile, it’s one client or project per profile, including all of the social media channels of that client or project.

It is different when running public or brand advocacy campaigns, trying to boost reviews on Google, or mobilizing communities behind a brand, an initiative or an election candidate. If you’re running a call-to-action campaign or fostering a community of brand advocates, then you’ll have to be more careful.

To begin with, you’ll need to set up a separate profile on AdsPower for each of the accounts you’re managing, even if they all fall under the same client or project. That way, if one account is flagged, suspended or marked, it is less likely to affect other accounts, and it will not be traceable to a singular device, location or person, especially if you’re using proxies.

Launched as a tool for marketers in 2019, AdsPower has grown to serve over 800,000 users worldwide. And it has done so by focusing on privacy and efficiency in online operations.

For digital marketers, the need is clear: platforms often flag what they consider suspicious activity, leading to account suspensions that disrupt campaigns. This can contaminate and hurt entire marketing portfolios if the bans or whatever consequences of said suspicious activities were to bleed from one client’s account to the others’. In truth, this is one of the scariest moments for digital communications and marketing specialists. It can make your life so much more complicated. It is an unnecessary risk, as their clients’ trust is at stake, not to mention months or years of data.

AdsPower addresses these risks, all of them, by masking your identity, allowing you to run ad tests, manage as many client profiles as you can, and automate processes online without the threat of detection. In competitive markets such as the US, this translates into seamless effort scaling — whether you’re an agency in New York or a freelancer in the Philippines — all while complying with local ad policies.

7 Key Features of AdsPower That Marketers Love

There’s a reason (or seven to be precise) why we love AdsPower. This particular anti-detect browser stands out with its robust toolkit tailored for marketers and the breadth of its capabilities, not to mention pricing.

Here’s a breakdown of the key features of the AdsPower multi-account browser:

1. Exceptional Privacy and Anti-Detect Capabilities

AdsPower covers everything you need, from device data cloaking to seamless integration of proxies and VPNs for complete, full anonymity. You can create separate profiles with each acting as an independent identity, complete with isolated cookies, cache, and settings. By doing so, you prevent cross-tracking, making it ideal for juggling client accounts without contamination.

You can also customize user agents, canvas fingerprints, WebGL, time zones, fonts, and hardware signals to mimic different devices. For example, you can appear as a Mac user from Miami while actually using a Windows laptop in Indonesia.

2. Cost-Effective and Scalable Multi-Account Solution

Prices are a bargain, given that AdsPower offers the same value and quality service that other, much pricier competitors do, with an even more effective scalability scheme.

In other words, the costs of setting up and expanding your operations using AdsPower are much less than those of other anti-detect browsers, even now that the big September discount is over.

3. Supports Scalability with Strong Automation Built In

The range of functions that are already built into the AdsPower multi-account browser makes it perfect for digital markets, chief among which is the Robotic Process Automation feature.

From scrapping data to automated reporting, monitoring and more, AdsPower covers an impressive range of digital marketing needs, all in one place.

4. Responsive and Helpful Customer Support

The AdsPower support team is very patient and cooperative. They’re available almost all the time, sometimes even during breaks.

They answer your every question and guide you through every step, making up for any accessibility issues facing non-technical first-timers, or at least that has been my experience with them.

5. Versatility and Breadth of Usability

AdsPower supports a vast range of digital marketing and online operations, from social media marketing to ads management, e-commerce, crypto, e-mail marketing, and more.

Any risk of your IP address being flagged, blocked or users banned, on whatever platform or website, AdsPower removes all such risks, especially with proxies and VPNs.

6. Choice of Browsers

You can Opt for the Chromium-based SunBrowser that supports Chrome extensions or the Firefox engine FlowerBrowser for flexibility in your workflow. Whichever choice you make will add a layer of accessibility and familiarity to your day-to-day user experience.

7. Team Collaboration and Activity Logs

AdsPower enables role-based permissions and dashboards to make it easier for agencies to collaborate, with logs tracking changes for accountability. This makes AdsPower a reliable, collaborative tool for digital marketers and social media managers.

Limitations of the AdsPower Browser

That said, AdsPower is not without its limitations, as is anything that offers such a vital solution with such simplicity. Yet, as far as I’m concerned, these limitations do not make this anti-detect browser any less attractive a solution.

1. Could Offer a Better User-Journey for AdsPower Newbies

To begin with, there’s the learning curve for non-technical marketing professionals. Instead of having everything laid out there for newbies on AdsPower, some enhancements could go a long way to providing a better user-journey, such as taking new users on a three-step journey to setting up their profiles, from basic info to configuring proxies.

2. Free Tier Limitations Can Impede Pre-Purchase Exploration

A user looking to explore AdsPower, using anti-detect browsers for the first time, may not have a chance to try or explore with enough profiles to make a fully-informed decision. Which to be honest is the point behind this review.

Those are, in my opinion, the most important limitations to AdsPower. Overall, it’s highly rated on platforms like Trustpilot for reliability and most of all, value.

Speaking of which, let us explore pricing plans — because of course price matters!

A drawing of various plans under the title

AdsPower Pricing Plans

In general, the platform offers flexible plans starting at free trials for up to two profiles, making it accessible for beginners. Compared to other providers, paid options scale affordably on AdsPower, with base plans starting at around $9/month for 10 profiles, up to enterprise tiers for unlimited uses.

AdsPower offers the same level of privacy and security as market veterans such as Multilogin, with an impressive set of features, at a much more reasonable price tag. We have an article about the top 10 Best Antidetect Browsers if you’re interested in checking out AdsPower alternatives.

Free Plan

The AdsPower free plan lets you create two profiles with all of the features AdsPower has to offer, minus those that let you manage profiles in batches. You can’t introduce automation with something like Selenium either. It’s a great way to get used to the browser.

  • Full browser spoofing features
  • Full control over browser fingerprints
  • Full proxy integration
  • Customer support

Professional Plan

AdsPower’s professional plan lets you have 10, 20, or 50 profiles and allows you to add members to the account for $5 per seat. All features are available to you, including automation, bulk profile management, and profile syncing between devices.

You can create 10 profiles for as little as $9 per month.

  • All the features of the base plan
  • Cross-computer profile syncing
  • Bulk profile management
  • Local API for web automation

Business Plan

AdsPower’s Business plan offers the same features as the Professional Plan but at scale. Instead of dozens of profiles, you can create hundreds — or even thousands.

How to Get Started with AdsPower

Just like that, if you’ve used anti-detect browsers before, you’re good to go. AdsPower is simple, straightforward and right on the money:

  1. Visit the AdsPower site and complete registration.
  2. Download AdsPower (available for Windows, macOS, etc.).
  3. Set up your first profile: Choose a browser type, add proxy details if needed, and customize fingerprints — leave optional fields blank if you’re unsure.

For anti-detect browser newbies though, AdsPower has a bit of a learning curve. Helpfully, AdsPower has guides on the website and YouTube tutorials on how to use AdsPower browser. Still, there’s a chance it will not cover everything you need to know, but don’t worry.

It will be a bit intimidating at first, faced with so many empty fields to fill from the get-go, especially if this is your first time ever using such a solution.

Nonetheless, if you keep in mind that you can just as easily fix whatever it is that you’re not happy with as it was to mess it up in the first place, it’ll instantly become accessible. Edits are easy post-setup, and the super friendly and patient support service actually makes up for the somewhat overwhelming set-up process.

Integrating your Proxidize Proxies into AdsPower is easy. Click on Proxies on your AdsPower Browser and then click Add Proxy. Paste your proxy details (which you can find on app.proxidize.com) into the field marked “Please fill in your proxy information here”. You can even add your IP Rotation URL directly into AdsPower as well.
